What is the Digigram ALP442e-MIC?

A versatile multichannel PCIe sound card for professional PC-based audio systems requiring up to 8 microphone inputs. Guarantees unrivaled quality for audio and voice recording in audio production, equipment monitoring and recording markets.

What is the difference between the ALP442e and the ALP442e-MIC?

The ALP442e-MIC adds microphone-level inputs with high-end preamplifiers, switchable 48V phantom power per input, and a mic gain range of 0 to +56 dB with EIN <-124 dB — making it suitable for both line and microphone sources including up to 8 microphone inputs.

Does the ALP442e-MIC support phantom power?

Yes. 48V phantom power is switchable independently on each of the 4 mic/line inputs.

How many I/O channels does the ALP442e-MIC provide?

4 balanced mic/line inputs, 2 stereo AES3 inputs, 4 balanced analog outputs and 2 stereo AES3 outputs — total 16 I/O channels. Plus 8 GPIs and 8 GPOs.

What PCIe slot does the ALP442e-MIC require?

It uses a PCIe x1 lane and is compatible with x2, x4, x8 and x16 slots. Low profile form factor with standard and low profile brackets included.

Can I use multiple ALP442e-MIC cards in one system?

Yes. Up to 8 ALP-X cards can be connected via an inter-board sync cable and managed from Digigram's unified ALP-X Manager control panel on Windows.

What cables and connectors are included?

Two 1m breakout cables: one analog cable with XLR connectors, and one digital cable with XLR for I/Os and AES11 sync input, BNCs for Word Clock I/O, and 2× D-Sub 25 for GPIs and GPOs.
