What is the Digigram ALP882e?
The latest generation versatile multichannel PCIe sound card for professional PC-based audio systems. Ideally suited for mission critical applications in broadcast, utility, public safety and transportation markets. Features a 32×32 on-board mixer with 8 analog and 8 AES3 I/O channels.
How many I/O channels does the ALP882e provide?
8 balanced analog line inputs, 4 stereo AES3 inputs, 8 balanced analog line outputs and 4 stereo AES3 outputs — total 32 I/O channels. Plus 8 GPIs and 8 GPOs.
What is the difference between the ALP882e and the ALP442e?
The ALP882e doubles the channel count — 8 analog channels and 8 AES3 channels with a 32×32 mixer and 16 stereo software devices vs 4 analog channels, 4 AES3 channels, a 16×16 mixer and 8 stereo software devices on the ALP442e.
What is the on-board mixer configuration?
A zero latency FPGA-based 32×32 mixer with 32 I/O channels (8 analog, 8 AES3, 16 software play/record) and 32 mix buses. Each of the 32 output channels has its own mix from the 32 inputs.
What PCIe slot does the ALP882e require?
It uses a PCIe x1 lane and is compatible with x2, x4, x8 and x16 slots. Low profile form factor with standard and low profile brackets included.
Can I use multiple ALP882e cards in one system?
Yes. Up to 8 ALP-X cards can be connected via an inter-board sync cable and managed from Digigram's unified ALP-X Manager control panel on Windows.
What cables and connectors are included?
Two 1m breakout cables: one analog cable with XLR connectors, and one digital cable with XLR for I/Os and AES11 sync input, BNCs for Word Clock I/O, and 2× D-Sub 25 for GPIs and GPOs.
